Should be fine.

And double check to make sure you really have a LS1...roughly 40% of F-bodies in '02 got a LS6 block...doesn't really make a difference, just a good little factoid...

a canadian built car #'s match is LS1 according to books less than 16,000 miles. How do i know if have a LS1 or Ls6 is there some where on the car I can look and see

It's stamped on the block...I think passenger side, but not positive...
