What are you doing with the gray interior? (front seats and maybe rear hatch gray carpet)
Looks like a cool but very hard project, not a big fan of the DD9 mirrors (they just look tacked on to me) but its yours, enjoy it.

Just my opinion, but I would stick with factory TTA seats, steering wheel and beige top so it looks like a "real" conv TTA. Not only for the reaction and the holy shit factor at cruise ins, but Pontiac got it right to begin with. Just my opinion, do what you like. Should be awesome car when your done.
Although, now that I looked at the pics again, you may be keeping the original blue color on the conv.,.. in that case, I guess go for whatever look you want. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your goal as a TTA conv replica.
In any case, keep this thread updated. I like convertibles especially with that powertrain.

The car will be white but the tan top isn't my favorite look. I talked to a convertible top manufacturer and they could do it in white. As far as seats Recaros hold you better. GTA Ultima seats are OK. The steering wheel controls are just redundant and I think it actually takes away from the interior vs a 87 GTA steering wheel...I know it's my car It's taken me awhile to make these decisions because I've always restored to stock and with N.O.S. parts if available...Thanks for you input it's appreciated

As far as the top color and other things I want to change just look at Scott Kelly's car. He painted his door handles and lock cylinders white and polished engine parts. I could only imagine what he would have done to the convertible TTA's if it were up to him.

When ASC put them together early on when they were dealer options (or whatever we like to call them) were you able to choose the color of the soft top or did the white cars come with just one color top?

A customer was offered a BLK top, Tan was available but at a cost to cutomer. They were offered option though. I believe the TTA convertible that was sent by dealer was ordered with Tan because they didn't pay the same as customer would...a couple thousand less. The dealer is going to order it tan because of the Beechwood interior. I have alot of dealer pricing and info they used for ASC orders along with the pictures used for ads in news papers.

    Flame Red Metallic
    Tan (imported material) top
    350 TPI
    Beechwood leather interior

Notice the center caps on that car in brochure 89 GTA with 87 GTA center caps with birds...it's know that ASC was scrambling to get these cars together.
