Hey guys...Well I am back in this great community as a proud new owner!!!!
Here are some before pics of my 87 GTA that I got rid of last years because I was getting engaged.

Here is a teaser pic of my new '89 GTA on its journey to her new home. :worthy:

I bought this GTA from the ORIGINAL female owner!! It has a tad under 50,000 original miles and in MINT condition! It's white with camel leather interior that still smells new! It has the 5.7L and t-tops. This '89 GTA is FULLY documented with maintenace history and she also had the original window sticker! Now engaged, it was either now or not for a very long time before I was going to get my dream car! So I had to jump on this! This is the EXACT GTA I have ever wanted! More pics to come....

i love the look of a black GTA... too bad that black cars that see much street use always reflect sooooo many scratches in the light :/

You just need to learn how to remove scratches and swirls:read:

Then with proper washing you dont introduce them again :drunk:

Thanks guys!

I did bring it to a local show and everyone thought it was a TTA. I had to tell them that it was only a GTA. Without the badges it looks identical and the fact that it is an 89 tops it off. But I am happy with my GTA. Eventually I will get a TTA once I am settled down with the new Mrs...Dont get me wrong I could easily get a TTA now but I rather have that $$$ for a down payment for my house. Will I pay more later on yes...but having a place to put the TTA in is even better!!

Hopefully I will be able to get some more pics this weekend if it doesnt rain...again!

BTW: Keeping her OEM!!

Great find Classy! Would love to see some pics of the engine and interior. I have a black on black '89 GTA 350 T-top car myself. I wanted a blk/blk 350 t-top GTA before I bought my TTA but the TTA came first and was an okay deal for the car. My GTA is an Ebay project car currently getting an interior restoration and some other upgrades. Here are some pics of them side by side.

That is a nice car....currious to see what it goes for. Id love a third car but dont have any room left indoors.

If anyone is interested in that GTA it's about 10 minutes from my house I can have my dad go and take a look at it.

I agree, a black GTA is very hard to beat. Maybe Knight Rider has some influence on that but the car, the lines, the small amber signal lights in the nose, all make up for one sinister looking car. Maybe it is because the "prototype" GTA was all black? There is a story somewhere on the net about an interview with the guy from Pontiac that pitched the GTA idea to the Firebird people at Pontiac. The story goes he had a '85 or '86 Firebird painted all black with no emblems or decals and drove it around Detroit. So many people stopped and complimented on how good the car looked being all one color along with the gold cross lace wheels. Throw in a seat upgrade, mandatory WS6 suspension, and TPI only motors and the GTA was born.

How about a Black Hardtop TTA? Come to Atlanta, have a look and a drive.....the Emissions Certification TTA.

Bigg Dogg

So...to take this thread in this direction...what color would the door decals be in on a Black TTA?

....

I'm starting to get a bad idea.....blasphemy? maybe...sinnister lookin TTA in Black...oh yeah....

Biggdogg,
By chance, do you know a Dan Funk who used to work for Delta Airlines?

Just wondering,

:beach:
