Repairs Started

looks good mike, the alky nozzle should be higher than the tank, hopefully it wont be a issue, i might be able to help with the seatbelt retractor, have you toasted the tires yet? :burnrubber:
I need seatbelt recievers bad, if it would have been me I would have put the nozzle higher. But the guy that installed the Alky had put it on several cars, so I did't question.

The only issue is, I have exaust header or other exaust leak on the driver side. Other than that everything is good.

He adjusted the TV Cable for the trans. and it really shifts good now.

Let me know if you come up with the seatbelt latches.

You should at least replace the red buttons on the seat belts...that was a factory recall.

I am going to try to get the whole unit that bolts to the floor. Hopefully the new ones will have the correct replacement for the red button.

As seen in the pic if they start to turn pink they are most probably original and have never been replaced. Turning pink was the first stage before they started to really weaken and then fail...not good. You can call a GM dealer with your VIN and have them check to see if you're car has had the recall fixed. If not they should be able to get the parts and replace them in a few minutes at no cost.

what was wrong with the red button?

GM won't get the parts for you anymore. Very few had the recall done.

I bought the kit to repair the seat belts from Modern Day Muscle. It cost me 15 bucks, comes with the tool to change the pieces, and I don't have to have a dealer touch my car. I don't really trust them.
Mike - Modern Day Muscle has the seat belt buckles brand new - says limited availability

I got some last fall as mine were pink. Doing that and other numerous small things to my interior made it look a lot better.
Are you happy with your seat covers from Hawks??

So far so good on the seats, have only put about 20 miles on the car, but it is a much better ride with the new seatcovers.

Color is maybe a little lighter color, but it don't bother me.

As far as the seatbelts go, I will probably get new left and right receivers.

Cool I'm sure the vin do match however let me know either or.

227221 is my car's vin. Last owned by DALLO/CO INC California (2009) then Unique Corvettes Florida 2009 - last month.
Has festival plate 41, appears to be car 78 unless I made a mistake looking at the list.
The car has a cloth interior.

Cheers.
