Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I was at Mecum this past weekend and carefully looked at this TTA. It is a near perfect 2,750 mile hardtop car. I was able to start the car...engine sounds fine.....but I did not drive it. Engine looks 100% stock down to the original spark plug wires.
Tires are original and look fine...no cracking noticed....all four wheels are perfect with no curb rash. I don't know if the electric antenna works or not as I didn't test it and I didn't test the air conditioning.
I did notice that the stock muffler is not on the car as it has a non-GM replacement muffler. Owner says he has all documents, window sticker, owner's manual and box.

The only downside I can't stand is that the front bumper has been drilled for a license plate holder and has four holes in it with white painted screws. The front hood struts are about to die as you have to hold the hood up to look at the engine....I don't know about the condition of the rear hatch struts.

The car goes to auction this Wednesday with NO RESERVE....so it will be interesting to see what it brings at auction. I would buy it....as I'm local in Central Florida...but I don't need three TTAs and I hate holes in the front bumper.

Well for me it is simple, extra cash laying around and it would be in my garage.. holes in the nose or not... surprised i missed that but a big shout out to jerryktta for checking it out..:thumbup:

That would have been impressive!!! It does not have the original battery...and in fact it wouldn't start due to a low battery condition...I had to go get a MECUM representative to jump start the car so I could hear the engine....so it will need a new replacement battery if someone buys it!!! Wow these prices are low in general, even with the buyer's premium. A 2007 Z06 corvette with 36K miles just went for 37K.

Glad to see the Sold price of $34,000 for this TTA today at Mecum Kissimmee.....when you add on the 10% buyer's premium, the purchaser actually paid $37,400 for a very clean 2,750 mile original unmolested car......maybe the collector market is starting to notice these cars for the value that they represent.


Hopefully that means my 316 mile cloth TTA...and my 570 mile leather TTA just got more valuable!!!!

Jerry, I don't think a $34k price tag for a 1 of 15 car helped the price much on any TTA when some Ttop/Leather cars are selling for not even $10k less with more miles. I sold a 16k mile ttop/leather car 2 years ago for $24k. This pretty much is a sign to me that I need to start driving mine more instead of being afraid that it's too rare now! Been toying with the idea of selling it and buying one to modify and enjoy more.

I have to agree. To me, these are meant to be enjoyed. Mine just happened to be a lower mileage car with 29k on it. Am I gonna drive it? Sure. It's not my DD and I wont be afraid to take it out on nice weekends..........to ENJOY.
And when I'm tired of it, I'll sell for whatever.
Life is just too freak'n short for it to just sit around.
