#189 On The Dyno

I ran hardtop #189 over to see what she would put out on the dyno. She is completely stock. I was impressed to see 264 to the rear wheels. The tuner said that based on the rear wheel stats it would pUT engine hp right around 320-325.
His dyno also showed boost at 13 lbs. He laughed and said my Guage was waaaaaay off.

This just prove's a point about gauges, i don't like changing the org. look any more than the purist but if a aftermarket gauge saves my eng. ( and wallet) it gets one, in your case you are lucky it didn't read 13 when it was really 20 or you would have lifted a head unless you have Alky... if you don't have Alky you are leaving 75-100 hp on the table with a stock set-up...
 
He's running 100 unleaded...he won't detonate if the tune is correct. Definitely between 18-20# boost to make 264 @ the wheels...not 13#..

That's fun to do, isn't it? Thanks for sharing. 264 hp at what rpm? How much torque?
My car dyno'd at 310 hp, 420 ft lbs at the wheels. The engine is untouched. It has a K&N in lieu of the stock air box, cat delete and a straight through muffler, ATR Stage 3A turbo with adjustable wastegate set at 19 psi, upgraded fuel system with 47 lb injectors, 255 lph pump, and Bosch regulator, a little spark advance and a 11.5:1 A/F ratio burned into the chip, and a bottle of octane boost in the tank.
 
Untouched motor, rebuilt stock turbo from Bison, stock air box.

New injectors, fuel pump, and ttweek chip
100 octane unleaded for insurance
330 ft lbs tq
 
I'm not sure who's boost is correct. His dyno said 13 lbs. My Guage showed close to 20. I'd like figure how to confirm
 
That's really cool. Your numbers sound good to me. I'd love to get my car set up right. It was the plan for this season but never happened. I've got tt chip, bigger turbo, injectors, test pipe. I think a couple more things all added by the original owner. I have to dig out the paperwork for more details. My car should run well.
