1989 Syclone (Buick GN GMC Prototype)

I'd seen that in a longer video a few years ago. Pretty cool.

I actually really like the Buick GN wheels on the S-10 body.

Makes me want to have a S-10 with a LC2 drivetrain. Actually be less BS
IMO for the same performance and more, seems like the Chevy 4.6 Turbo motor in the production Syclone has some issues when you start getting in the upper HP numbers. Buick turbo 6 seems to work better and respond better to high HP mods for a vehicle running in the 10's., JMO

I really Love the Syclone and Typhoon, my best friend has a Typhoon and his dad has a KILLER Syclone. The most fun street race I had was between me and my brother driving a Syclone back in the summer of 1991 or so.

The syty actually has a 4.3. The problem with them is they actually have a better head bolt design than the lc2, so instead of blowing out head gaskets, they grenade the whole motor. I believe they are also more sensitive to knock than the Buick. I completely agree though that it is easier and cheaper to build big power with the Buick as compared to the syty

Yep Bill told me they did build that prototype ... but with the engine dissapearing they had to look for something else to put in there :-)
