1992 Firehawk sold at auction

A 1992 Firehawk (#16 of 19) was sold at the Barret-Jackson Auction for $19,000. Not a bad deal considering these cars stickered for nearly $60,000! Has anyone ever seen a TTA up for auction at Barret-Jackson? Just wondering if it would fetch a better dollar there than on the normal market. Top seller for the day was a 1967 Yenko Camaro for an unbelievable $110,000! It's a shame the market is so low for our cars.

Do you know any of the specs on the Firehawk? Color, rear seat delete, Recaros, milage, etc.? Just wondering.

The Firehawk was red with gray interior. The seats appeared to be the very low-buck standard Firebird seats, not like we have in the TTAs. I believe the rear seat was in the car. The car looked to be VERY clean inside & out.

I THINK a TTA sold last year in the $16,000 range.

my take on the whole TTA deal is that here in the past year or so there were so many cars that came up for sale that it drove the prices down. I believe it will come back up here in the next few years.

I am amazed how little the 91/92 Firehawks went for this year. One was the 92 you mention Ron and a couple of 91 competition models went for a few thousand more with lower miles. The base price of these cars was 39,995 with 9,995 for the price of the competition option. Total production was about 25 cars. The thing that is killing these cars is the availablity of 99 and up Firehawks with the LS1 engine. These LS1 cars are faster than the 91/92 model.

I agree the TTA prices are down due to the amazing number of cars for sale these days. You can get onto ebay almost any time and see a TTA for sale.

The price of NOS parts has gone up an increadable amount and the value of these cars should follow the same trend down the road.
