Was playing around on the pc tonight and found this picture of the bldg where PAS used to be. Apparently it now houses a window treatment company. The trees have grown just a bit. LOL Then and now photos.
I think Jan has taken some pictures there and I know I did as well during my travels. Just a regular old industrial park, nothing too special on the outside.
Thanks Jan for the link. Interesting stuff. Well, it might just be an ordinary old warehouse but our cars were there at one time. It would be cool if you lived out that way to take your TTA right up front and take a picture. I fixed the title of the thread. Thanks.
And for those that have not been to Van Nuys ... pictures I took in April of 2007 .... shipping center "the plant" and some old buildings that I presume were part of the GM plant up there but basicly nothing left from where the 3rd Gen's where built ...
Sad but true to see old abandoned buildings that once were productive facilities producing great products. I live in an area that WAS a big manufacturing hub, producing steel, tires, vacuum cleaners, cookware, etc and now most of it is gone. Have alot of abandoned buildings around here. I understand progress but also have a soft spot for the past because a lot of people I know lost jobs. My husbands place of employment has dwindled down to less than 1700, when it once boasted 5000. Thanks for the links. I hope one day to travel out there and see it myself.
