after the cooling fan mod

If the fans are on or off when i shut the car off the pass side cooling fan comes on...How long should it run for?

I left the car for about 5-8 min's and the fan never shut off....If i switch my grounding switch off the power to the fan gets cut off and i can switch the switch back to the on position.

I thought it should run about 3-5 mins, maybe my fan delay relay is cooked?

OK, I'll answer myself took mine 12 minuets and the high speed fan shut itself off.

If I remember correctly it's temperature dependent and it measures off your coolant temp sensor in the intake. So the cooling system doesn't really have any flow once the car is off once the thermostat closes. Do you have a stock or 160 thermostat? There's nothing really wrong with it running for a while outside of it draining the battery a little, but the power draw for the fans is pretty low.

I might be wrong but I know on some other cars the fan is based on temp and whether or not the AC is running.

It's a timed realy but as Jared said if the temp falls below (??) it will shut down quicker. I got a switch for mine and in normally runs for around 10 min.

When i did the mod on the weekend i thought from memory that it should have run for 5-6 min's. I timed it and it took 12 Min's to shut off. not so bad...Took it for a run on the weekend...seemed to run cooler..for sure when the temp comes up it drops down to 160 ish and the fans will shut off pretty quick
