Common Problems w/TTA

I am looking to buy a TTA and i have heard some stuff about them like they are very tempermental and they have problems with the crankshaft bearings, brake booster, and transmission.

If anyone could tell me what problems are the most common and when they ususally occur mileage wise would be of great help. I dont want to spend a load of money and have lots of problems
thanks guys

The only things I hear about are the intercooler scoops being chewed up (they are a discontinued item) and starting problems (i.e.-heat soaked starter, VATS out of whack). Also, there are no aftermarket headers so if you have one cracked, better get it rewelded. Rod bearings and headgaskets will go bad if you start detonating real bad but other than that, I never really heard of problems with those. My tranny had to be rebuilt after 125,XXX miles on it. I got the impression that they are very strong and most people put a shift kit and stall and call it a day. IMHO, reliable if you take care of it. Other than that, they are pretty much like a GTA. Spoilers like to crack and hatch motors go out. I am sure someone can add on to this but this is all I can think of. HTH!
