Couple questions???

1 - What is the size of the stock muffler? Length from one end to the other of the pipe ends, not just the muffler itself? Also the width, and the height?

2 - what rear gear oil should I use? Rear has a leak so might as well change the gasket and oil, and how much do I need? Stock rear, and from what I know 373 gears, I will be changing those when the car is on the road and I make sure everything is operating correctly.

I changed mine out when I first got the car. Used the Felpro gasket #55390, 75W-90 gear oil (took about 1 1/2qts), 1 tube limited slip gear oil additive. Your ratio should be 3:27 if its all stock.

Thanks Kymmee, for that info. The pervious owner said he put 373's in there but will change that out.
 
You can check you gear ratio by counting the number of times it takes to rotate your driveshaft to make the tires 1 complete revolution. Pay careful attention to driveshaft position as it will like not be a full complete revolution of the driveshaft when the tires hit a complete turn.
Once you know that there is a simple math formula to determine gear ratio, cant remember what it is off top of my head, google it :) maybe divide 1 by the driveshaft revs and thats it in fractional form... Like 0.373 would be 373 gears.

Well, it's as simple as just counting the number of times the drive shaft rotates for 1 full turn of the tires, just make sure the differential isn't slipping...so it the driveshaft rotates 2 3/4 turns, its a 2.75 gear :)
