I just put on Nitto drag 245 50 16 drag radials. They work great ! I paid 175 each mounted and balanced.

I just bought a full set of weld magnums with 275/60/15's broke my wallet lol ... i went with 8.25's on the tta where they would tuck unlike the gn wheels
these are going on tta#299 to preserve the tires an wheels

beside my michelin ltx's on the tahoe

Hey Jarred,

Do you have some pics of your tires on the car, from a couple different angles? I am going to move my 245/50/16's to the front and want the rear tires for street mostly that really fill the wheel well and are wide, to give it better stance, like the guys do with the GN's.

Any advice which tire size would be best for this on the stock rim?

Do a search Jarrod has pics of the 295's, i agree with Jason though, the 255/50/16 MT's work great...

Do you have those on your's Rob? This will be driven mainly on the steet and won't see the strip, just wondering if they will be too loud or a rough ride in the car.

Yes i do and they are nice BUT remember with any drag radial do your best to stay out of the rain... btw, the ride is fine but alot of people are what i call spinner's, they would rather smoke the tire's, these are for traction.

255/50/16 MT's work great for street driving and fit the wheel well fine. The bigger 295/50/16 ET Street Radial also fit but tighter obviously. I use the taller tire for drag racing, no road noise that bothers me. Some of the pics of my big tires are the 15 inch rim tire size. I do have some out there of these 295/50/16 ET but I can't recall where. IF you want more pics I will post them but my car has the front up on jacks and the back end is squat down. I have the engine out and it wont be back in for a while. Let me know it you still want to see.

Just a thought...DR's are well over $220 each nowdays....and they wear out really,really,REALLY fast...so if you put on a couple thousand miles a year don't be alarmed at buying DRs every year or 2.

Yea, good thinking.... I am leaning back toward the Firestone Indy Wide ovals again... The Goodyear GS-D3's look really nice too, but I really don't want to mix and match tires. They are $240 a piece and the Indy's are $115 right now. I am going to give the local rep a call and see if they plan to bring back the 255/50/16's again this spring, if not then I will get two more 245/50/16's to match all the way around. I really like them, the looks with the Indy wings, plus they have great traction and ride really nice...more for car shows and cruise nights...

when i raced my GN in Darlington on wed night an sundy at greelivile every week ... driving to both tracks an making about 4 passes each night .. I changed the oil an tires every 2k miles

If I wanted a street tire I would probably go with the Firestone Indy Wide Ovals, good tire for the money, yet my BF Goodrichs are holding up nicely after 3 years, since I quit doing those silly burn outs. Any tire will last longer if you take care of them!
