For you guy's running high boost

Robert I do belive in the theory you will hear a lot of people say there is no such thing. I just gaped the plugs tighter. and yes it would nose over.

you got to make sure your fuel pump an coil pac and module are in good working order. I ran my plugs gaped to .28 for 28-30 #'s of boost .

my car with good ignition an fp would nose over after the 1/8 .... I found it to be the converter slippage was really high in high gear .... just a thought. Put in a different converter no more issues.

This TTA i have been working on would nose over at 24# of boost, ( new turbo, inj, alky, pl, sm, maf/trans ) but everything else is stock, today i turned the boost down to 19-20 and it pulled hard in boost but it was pig rich (nb 02's 850 wot) so i pulled 2.3% from parameter 1 and turned the boost back up a few( 22) then the rain came... again...:disgust:

My GN started popping through the intake when the coil went south. If you have a casper's coil tester and can find one close to you, wouldn't hurt to test the coil and ignition module....never hurts to have a spare coil and module also if you just want to buy a new one and throw it on, if prob persists then you have a backup one...it will be needed in the future at some point guaranteed.

Yep your right, that's why i was looking so hard at the TR6 by B.B , it was all about the everyday get to where your going kinda thing, but then again this little 1 of 15 will never see it.

He does make a very nice setup, I would go that route on my GN next time I need an ignition module, I have a few spares but I have no idea how good they are, the ignition module can test out ok but still be bad I've heard.
But, under 24-25# of boost, the stock setup is more than adequate if in good working order, and if your driving it everyday, a new stock setup should last you many years, its not like these go out all the time, I'm on my 2nd ever set of coils on my GN and I believe I may in fact still have my factory original ignition module at 58k miles and several hundred passes and thousands of street blasts I'm sure...it's set at 24# all the time but have run as much as 28# on race gas and methanol inj without any issues.

The TR6 is no joke. Had my TTA out this past weekend up to 31#s and it ran great not saying it cant be done on the stock. If you have a bad coil I would rec. going this route.
