Found a Chip in my center consul

Just bought my TTA last week! the other day i was in the car cleaning out some old trash when i found what i think is a chip..not sure it is the original or after market? other then the sticker on it it has a marking of "RN" the plastic, Could any one help Please..

My old stock chip is the same as this except for LFIVE216 mine has LFIVE242. And instead of AA14 mine has AF14

The label on the top of the chip is what is actually burnt onto it, the bottom printed info is for the chip only so nothing to do with the content rather the manufacturer info of the chip itself.

The RN on the plastic carrier/holder is the name of the manufacturer Robinson Nugent ... these carriers/holders are no longer available so hang on to any you find in yunkjards etc.

Are the carriers worth anything? Eric told me he didn't want them so I have tossed 5 stockers away.

If you burn your own chips then the carriers are useful ... see them on ebay sometimes for like $5 or $10 USD new ... and I believe Kirban's still got some he sells but not sure.

So don't toss them away as someone out there can use them, I got some spares myself I pulled at yunkjards and a couple of new ones I got hold of just because you can't go out there and buy them.
