fuel gauge installation ( need help )

I just tried installing a fuel gauge to the rail and I used the adapter,the brass elbow and the gauge and ,,,,,,,,,,,well no pressure. I have the adapter that they sold me from full throttle but it doesn't have anything to push in the valve to release the fuel, am I missing something?

I am almost positive you have to take out the schraeder valve for it to work.

I have installed 6 of these and they are all just a little different but the one on my TTA had to have it removed.
