Had a bad film on the pass.side glass on the H/T, clay bar wouldn't work and a razor did nothing, any guess's on what took it off? Look close at the pic and you can see where i got about 3/4 of it off.
BTW, that's about 3hrs work so far..

I got that dark film on my rear hatch glass and it starting to let go slightly in spots so would really like to get rid of it but everywhere I read about it got these horror stories of how hard it is to get rid of ... and of course I got the defrost stuff on there as well ... so might just leave it and have a few buds instead :cool1:

Removed film tint from the rear hatch (w defrost) on the MSE and it was a major pain. We used paint thinner and a razor blade. You basically have to lay down in the hatch and scrape it very carefully and remove the glue residue with the paint thinner. Be very careful because the fumes get concentrated in there and you can get overcome from them. It took about 3 days to do it working a couple hours at a time. A job I would never want to do again. My TTA hatch had severe water spots and nothing worked except swirl remover and a buffer with the blue pad. The water spots were etched into the glass almost and it just takes a lot of time and effort to get them off. I found there was no "magic" solution. Lots of time, labor and patience.
