Hello, I was just looking for some first hand knowledge from anyone that went from a GN to a TTA. I've had a few GN's but never a TTA, not even driven one. What are some of the not so obvious differences. I'm looking at a possible trade right now and was wondering if anyone tell me what it was like after the change. Any regrets, or any positives. Love both cars. Thanks

GN to a TTA

I've owned several GN's and the first noticeable difference is ride quality. The GN rides alot better, but then again the TTA is more enjoyable for overall driving excitement.
The only downside is that the kids find it alot more cramped when we ride in the TTA vs the GN. If you don't have kids then that's not a big deal.
You'll also notice that more people appreciate the GN and most have no idea what the TTA is all about!!

GN's are great and I love them, but they handle slow, I like the positive road handling the TTA gives. Especially while doing some drifting burnouts. I've driven both and prefer the TTA's more confidence building handling characteristics over a G-body. I don't drive fast on curvy roads anymore, but back when I had a fire in the belly I'd push the TTA on a curvy country road in ways that a GN would never keep up or end up in the bushes.
The + for the GN, is that the aftermarket go fast parts ( in a straight line) fit a GN easier than a TTA, well in the case of a down pipe. That was a bitch pushing that baby home. More head options from the aftermarket, headers are available too, no headers for TTA's...But you can make a stock downpiped TTA fly, the stock heads can be ported with good results too.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head there. But then again that is why I keep 2 GN's and a TTA. The best of all worlds!

GN definitely gets more attention. LOTS more. the TTA is too rare... or maybe "obscure" would be a better term. i enjoy driving the TTA a lot more though. but then im 21 single and love speed and handling and consider things like air conditioning to be luxury and dont care for much else, so the GN isnt my cup of tea. its hard to beat the GNs front end though... that thing looks mean.
