I'll be purchasing a TTA next week. I've owned one before, so I still vaguely remember some of the problem areas. Some of the problems I noticed were...heater core disconnected (probably leaked), clunk when placing in D(ujoints), rear axle whining minimally at low speed, european km/h speedo(real mileage???),spliced lighting harness for strobes:eeks:, and tranny shifts extremely hard. I'm sure I'll find a couple more tasks to correct once I get the car. Other than the mentioned items, the car actually look very nice.
1. Does anyone know where to get the heater hoses? 2. Are there quality differences in cores(only want to do it once). 3. Where can I get a replacement front lighting harness (turns and fog lights)?
