Seems Hemmings is showing some love for our cars, 2nd time in a few issues that a TTA has been in the Auction notes.
Price seems to be looking better too.

89 TTA, 17,013 miles on it sold for $25,850.00, 2+ cond, avg selling price, $22,000.00

Description:

"The buyer scored wjhen he bought this very authentic T/A. With only 17,013 miles on the odometer, it's condition was very close to that of a brand new car: clearly it was one of the better remaining unrestored examples of the 1,555 Tirbo T/A's built. The tan upholstery was in perfect condition, as was everything else in the interior, including every square inch of the hard plastic instrument panel and console. Equipped with 250hp turbocharged V-6, 200-4R four speed automatic and T-Tops, this was a classic modern performance car that the buyer can show and drive with pride."

Third Generation F-cars
At first blush, the thought of satisfying a muscle jones with an IROC might be flat out depressing to someone that actually wanted a '69 Z/28, but don't despair just yet. Among the 1982-'92 run of Camaros and Firebirds were a few special cars that have yet to be fully appreciated. The first to come to mind may be the '89 Turbo Trans Am, which also happened to be the 20th Anniversary model and the Indy Pace Car for that year. It was the only F-car to ever get the Turbocharged Buick V-6, an improved version of the vaunted Grand National engine, and as such, the value of these cars has never really dipped into four-figure territory. However, a lesser-known edition is the 1LE, a GM option code for a package developed specifically for showroom stock road racing. This package couldn't even be ordered by name, but rather, resulted when a Tuned-Port 350 automatic or 305 five-speed car was ordered with the air conditioning deleted and the oil cooler added. Along with those items came larger front brakes, bigger sway bars, special shocks/struts, a baffled fuel tank, and an aluminum driveshaft and spare-tire rim. These cars do trade hands for real money, but there are examples out there that go up for sale under $10,000. Today, these cars can be a blast on a road course or the street, and the aftermarket still supports them heavily. Tomorrow, they could be the next COPO... or at least, JL8.
 
Said this before,a GNX averages 2-3 times it's window sticker now,a GN with extreme low miles will sell for over its window sticker,extreme low mile TTA's can't even get their orig window sticker.I get the GNX's,547 made,but a GN,....20,197 ????
You would think a TTA would AT least get it's orig window sticker,I mean come on,it has IMO,a pretty good historical value .
Would be nice to see the TTA's alittle more appreciated.
