horrible sound

my TTA just started making a sound in the top of the motor that sounds just like a cracked manifold. i have had the manifold off and inspected it and that was not the problem! sounds like it is coming from the top or back of the motor but its really hard to tell? has anybody out there ever experienced anything like this?:mad2:

Check the flywheel bolts.

Take a video of the car. Could be as simple as a worn belt or a failed tensioner.

:whs: If it is the flywheel bolts it will rattle at idle but go away under load. Don't ask me how I know this. :whistle: Take the inspection cover off and check 'em out. If they are loose use some Loctite and make sure to torque 'em down. Might help to have it on a lift or have a friend give a hand.
