How To Tell Difference Between Repop And Oem '89 Fender Emblem?

Most of the reproduction emblems example GM licensed from Carmotorsports.com have black lettering instead of gold.

I think that's just the reflection in the picture, I have a set of reproductions on my car and the coloring it correct.
I was able to find my originals and some repos that I received that the gold coating wasn't correct. Here's some pictures of the repo (left) and original (right) sail panel emblems. So differences I was able to notice are marks at the bottom of the V in anniversary on the OEM, Trans Am text is slightly fatter on OEM, the bird head and flame are skinnier on OEM, and the tape is black on OEM versus white on repo. The repo emblems were ordered from Ozpoint on here probably 7 years ago.
The late nose emblems from carmotorsports do have black lettering on them ... they argued with me telling me that's what came form the factory and they had seen lots of NOS emblems like that hence they did do them that way .... however I remember the early reproductions they did were actually correct ... overall curvature is a different issue
The fender emblems do have a slight curv to them .... reproductions are "too perfect" if you like as the original ones are very inconsistent when you look at and compare a handful of them. The original's also have the orange (but I have seen black) peel off backing on the sticky tape. If you post good pictures of front and back I can most likely tell you if they are NOS or not.
