Of people who've gotten filthy dirty in repairs to their TTA. I had done a lot of underhood sprucing up (cleaned everywhere I could get at in the engine compartment and firewall with a toothbrush and waxed it!) so everything looked pretty good.

I recently pulled the transmission from my car since it was slipping in 2nd gear and did the rear main and oil pan gasket while I was under there. I had a rebuilt BRF lying around so I stuck that in while the TAF trans is out getting rebuilt. My pal Grumpy advised me to try a Pat's 10" converter for a little more launch. So far no leaks on the garage floor and on the road test it shifted and launched great! Well, actually it launches lousy since it spins the tires whenever I get on it under around 25 mph.
I was really surprised the rear main and pan were so easy to do but having the crossover, flexplate and tranny out had to help a lot.

I wanted to get it all done while I could because I had shoulder surgery this past Weds and I'll be out of action till after New Years:disgust:. Didn't want to have a broken musclecar waiting for me to crawl under after I'm able to do some work again! It's gonna be awhile for that I'm told. Can't wait till I can drive it again!

It's no fun unless your wrenching on these cars! When your done at least you'll know what you have! My rear main leaks about a quarter size drop over the winter and I'd love to fix it but it's gotta get a little worse to get me under there! That Pat's converter is going to really wake that car up. I have one in my stock 86 GN and the turbo spools so fast it's crazy. I like driving that more then my 87 modded GN sometimes!

Close up of my DP. It's supposed to be a Houston but I have no idea. My valve covers and throttle body had been polished but now need to be cleaned up again. I'll pop them off someday soon.

That's about it for now! Buying a bunch of parts from Grumpy Dan tomorrow morning. So though I can't work on the car right now I can caress my spare parts! :clap:

What are the two top gauges in the pillar? Air/F, Trans Temp? Nice ride.
What has it ran in the 1/4? With Alcky that should run killer.

The top gauge is a Dakota Digital Fuel pressure and the middle one is an AEM wideband O2. I haven't taken it to the track yet but it feels awesome! I'll have to wait till next year to find out what it actually runs.
