Spotted this "promotion" ad on e-bay, it was the price that made me look.

Comparing the various 3rd-Gen F-bodies in the ad: "...the 5.7 Liter cars are certainly a better rounded as a whole vs the turbo, it drives better, it is consistently faster and most important....its not white! The TTA was VERY temperamental as those that lived the day know and the 1LE is nice but has no AC, options or T-Tops and its performance is negligible if at all above a 5.7"

Matt Garrett is a big time collector of ultra low mile cars ,looks like he is selling off some of his stuff.
 
Same ad from a few years ago, started the same hub-bub about the TTA comparisons too. Same price if I recall, didn't sell then either.

If he truly is a collector then he knows better and should fire the underling who writes up his eBay ads.

I do know one thing though, it will need a new power antenna, a new spoiler, a new hatch motor, and some A/C servicing.

His quotes are moronic in his comparison. I had a 5.0 5spd GTA with a tuned exhaust that was faster than several stock 5.7 tpi cars in the area. I've raced a bunch of F-bodies of that era in my TTA and ridden in even more. His comparison is un-informed. He obviously never witnessed a GN bury a TPI Iroc-Z after same era TPI Vette after GTA at the local strip , over and over and over for decades in a row, but i have.
 
I went to the "My Car Hobby Home Page" link provided by the ebay ad. Certainly, Mr. Garrett likes attention. As for the 5.7 vs TTA comments, he is entitled to his opinion, but I would say the analysis is purely perception and not facts.
 
I have emailed with him back and forth as he was expressing interest in buying my 1,400 mile GN(he didn't buy ,literally told me it had to be a steal for him to buy) ,but basically in not so many words calls the GN's junk as back in the day his kept blowing up from being to hot,detonation,etc. HELLO !!!! Not rocket science with these ,how is it that so many of us have been racing these for years now with mostly success ?
Also had some negative words about the TTA's.
End of conversation with him after that !!!!!
 
I sent the eBay add a question for the seller asking if it was the original engine or had it been rebuilt. Just a funny poke back since he basically called the ttas garbage lol
 
Anybody recall what the last super low mileage TTA sold for? I believe it was about half of what he is asking for that GTA. So unrealistic.
 
Id say 45k for a low mile hard top cloth car is in the ball park ? Reality , this day in time prolly 40k
