knocking since new parts installed. .

Hi I haven't been on here in a while more due because I haven't driven the car lately... ever since I installed the new 60's with chip, FP, hotwire and FP regulator its been knocking above 3.0.... not sure where to start. .. never gave me a single knock before I changed the parts
 
Have you reduced boost pressure to see if the knock goes away? Also is fuel pressure set at 43 VAC line off? Do you have a fuel gauge in the car to make sure it goes up with boost 1:1?
Check the VAC hose on the fuel pressure regulator to make sure it's not cracked or leaking?
Is anything loose and banging around?? Perhaps causing false knock??
 
Fp is set at 43.. ill check for any cracks in the lines, I do not have a fuel pressure gauge in the car. .or a more accurate boost gauge... few months back I did the headers off to have them ceramic coated when I did the other parts maybe theres other loose parts banging around?
 
I would treat it as real knock retard as it *looks* like it's at the top of second gear.

But for the sake of discussion get the car warmed up and going about 50-55 MPH with it in 3rd not 4th gear. Then floor it up to 90-100 MPH and watch the KR numbers.Now, do they climb from a low number to high number? or do they start at a high number and diminish? Those are things we need to know.
 
Stock downpipe, idle could be a little better seems that the new chip and injectors should have made a better improvement?

Chip specs?

Idle quality should improve slightly with TT chip AFTER learning has taken place over 15-20 minutes of normal driving. I'd check for clearance issues of the exhaust(since it's a recent install), spark plug wire sequence and spark arc(in the darkness), vacuum leaks(hoses AND injectors) and belt( actually, the tensioner) if knock is audible at idle.

Last nite I went to a buddy's house to take a look at a parts truck and the Syclone was idling crappy and knocking under load like crazy. I got home and checked under the hood and sure enough; I could see sparks near the firewall. Turned out to be the coil wire. Previous nite, it ran like a top. Hope you find it's a cheap fix!!

you would need to verify fuel pressure ,also hoock up fuel pressure gauge making shore the fuel and boost are climbing 1 to 1.Least of all you need some type scanner like a scan master to monitor the engine vitals and you also need to install a accurate boost gauge the one on the car is way off.good luck
