Look what I bought for a dollar!

This is a lifted online photo but mine is exactly the same colors and all. Well...save for 8 years of dust and birdshit on it. I didn't have my camera when I looked at it. It's an '83 Goldwing Aspencade with 35,000 miles.

So...how'd I get it for a dollar? simple...I wrote it in to an offer for a rental unit I bought and this was being stored in a detached garage on the property. They accepted and technically I bought it for $1 in consideration for purchasing the duplex.

Nice! I went to one of those public storage auctions one time. You know when people go deadbeat on those storage units you see all over and they sell off the stuff. Well some of the bays were selling for 10 bucks and it was packed with stuff. I went to a few of them and thought there was some good deals in there. There was one or 2 guys who had buckets of money and bought up everything with a huge truck. I got talking to the one guy and once he realized I was there to check it out and not be his competition he told me he bought a unit in the city for 100 bucks and there was over a million bucks in rare art work in it! So I guess it's a good thing to do if you have time and room on your hands. He also told me he's bought many units for a few hundred and wound up junking everything in the unit.

I bought a 1996 Bonneville off ebay for $1.04.
All I wanted was the radio, but the guy never answered me, so I bid and won the thing.
Granted, parts were missing, and the car has some damage, but I got it boy, that makes me the winner!
