Looking for Original GM Part number for TTA Cat

I am looking for a GM NOS Catalytic Converter for one of my TTAs. My Pontiac Parts book is dated May of 1992 and it shows a part number of 25103338.

Does anyone have a GM parts book dated 1989? Would you please look up the cat and let me know if it is a different part number? I am looking to see if the original part was superseded by the 25103338 number.

These have been discontinued by GM. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

Jim,
Did you find them under the 25103338 part number? What loactor are you using. I have used Parts Voice and it does not show any. I also had my dealer run the number and not had any luck.

Hey Dave I did look under that number. It came up on one GM locater I use that the dealers pay for that a friend lets me sneak on with that price. I made some phone calls for you this morning and it shows up in their system because at one time they had one or two but they are long gone now it seems. I don't use partvoice it's about as useless as they come. I'd say 1 out of every 50 parts on there they might have one and then collectors parts.com buys it up and wants a mint for it anyways. I have 4 different places and contacts I actually call on the phone for stuff like this. These guys can search every dealer and warehouse in the US and Canada. Two of them are warehouses GM owns where they ship a good number of parts when they get discontinued. They will ship low production stuff there rather then scrap it. This one has always been the best source yet. I've found most of my stuff there. Their inventory don't show up anywhere even the GM dealers don't have access to their inventory. Took me a long time to make these contacts. I guess on my death bed I'll give the information up to someone! :D   :teehee:

Jim, Thanks for checking.

I did a little more researce and the 25103338 number started being used in March of 1988. So it is correct for our cars.

No problem Dave! Shame we could'nt find a few! Wonder what a NOS one would be worth. You know someone out there has one! I guess it was just used on our cars?

The 25103338 cat was used on the 89 TTA and was the number that superseded the original 86-87 GN cats and the 85-88 single exhaust Trans Am Cat.
