So ya............ Took the heads off my tta and found felpro gaskets and an extra random valve spring keeper bouncing around inside, but no keepers are missing. Both gaskets were blown out, valves look good, heads look good, pistons look good.
Open up the oil filter by cutting it and find metal shaving debris all over. So now I am gonna pull the motor out and check the oil pan and oil pick up. check the bearings and crank. Also gonna machine heads a little. Looks like its gonna be alot more trouble than I ever anticipated.
By the way when I say "I'm gonna" that means the mechanic is going to. I have a guy in town who did three GN's in the last couple months, so he has some experience.
Car also needs a brake job, diff fluid replaced, reverse lights, and who knows what else????
So this is all gonna cost me about 5k. I am not sure how long it will take either.
