hi everyone! I've come across this site in hopes to find answers to a few of my questions. My boyfriend own a 1989 TTA, and for years now, has been trying to collect everything that was offered to the new owners from the press releases, to the owners kits, everthing. What he is missing that means the most to him is the 1989 Pace car jacket. I have found someone who says they have one and will sell it to me, but I have no idea what it looks like, so I don't know if I am being ripped off. Would anyone be able to show me a picture of one they can find, or even may own?

There's a couple of versions of these jackets, the ones you see pictured and there also one that say OFFICAL PACE CAR under the nose emblem on the left chest, I got one of those and they are rare as they were only handed out during the actual race to key people driving the parade cars etc.

This was him racing this summer at Englishtown, NJ.

This car is his pride and joy. He also owns 7 other Trans Ams, but this one is my favorite. I know why they are called the Corvette killers. He took me for a ride once on an open road, once the tac passed 145, I couldn't see anymore!

Alot of us here, also have fairly large Trans Am collections.
I myself, have 6 of them.

I saw a small size jacket on ebay last week that ended for $60..damm i almost had it :cry:

So you think that was a good purchase, that jacket?

He owns besides the 89 TTA, a 88 GTA digital dash, 90 GTA, 93 Trans Am race car (Ultra Quick 8 ), 94 Formula, 02 WS6, 02 Collectors Edition. Also, he has 86 Buick Turbo T-Type, 90 Mustang Cobra, 05 GMC Sierra, and a 95 Turbo Volvo.
 
I was the one who won the jacket and am looking to trade for a med or large. I guess no one searched Ebay the way I did since there were only 3 other bidders. I was lucky to get it for $67.50 shipped.
Its in excellent shape. Only thing is someone had their initials embroidered in the collar. Its at the tailors now to see if it can be removed. Very small initials.
Its too short for me. If I cant get someont to trade, I will probably keep it as a conversation piece, unless someone offers me a price I cant refuse.

Got the jacket today!

It's in good shape. A small stain, and the end of the sleeves a little dark, but I am happy. I guess I got a good price, can't complain!

Tell us about it, and how you got it.
How many miles, where are you from, what is your car number, and what options?
Only two options, T-Tops and leather.
You got one? Both? None?

HE LOVED THE JACKET!!

Thanks for all your help! Next time we take the car to a meet, he said he'll be wearing the jacket, even though it is so out dated!! (ha ha)

I told him about the glasses, which he said he "has to have!"
