Not new to collector cars - But a TTA newbie!

Hey folks, PhillyTurboSix mentioned this site to me on another board. I thought I'd come over and say hello! I just picked up #1130 a couple of months ago, and added it to my collection. It has 1,206 miles and is unmodified, original. Unfortunately it had the tires changed since the first owner let them flatspot. Other than that and the battery, it's how it rolled off the line.

Have a look at the link below. And just so nobody gets upset (like at the Corvette boards), I am aware that some of these pics seem to advertise my side business. I'm not trying to sell this car, so please ignore all that. I take pics of all my cars in the same spots, for sale or otherwise.

And don't worry, I may have spanked a few Vipers from a dead stop, but I would still take one anyday!

Hey Mike! Welcome over! We don't get to much traffic here but it's just for our cars! Your TTA looks great. I want that complimentary car care sampler!! I love that stuff. I like that IROC as well! One of the color combo's I always liked. A freind of mine had a real low mile collector vette like yours he sold. Those were pretty neat just slow as mud!

No argument that CE Vette is slow - Assuming of course the Cross Fire Injection decides to work that day. It's only been driven 34 miles in the last 9 years, so maintenance costs have been pretty low

I drove all of these cars to the climate controlled storage building about two months ago. It was just four miles, and the only car that I was itching to take back home again was the TTA.

I've owned some pretty neat cars in the past two decades, but there's just something about the TTA. Hard to describe, but I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir on this site!

hey mike.. the TTA's are the best of them all IMO. Performance, Handling, you have it all with the TTA. I've had my share of cars over the years and the TTA is one that I usually have a smile on my face from the time I get on the road till I come home! I also love to school people on the cars when I'm out at shows. So many people don't know what they are. They walk up and think it's a clean GTA. I'd love to have a hardtop cloth or t top cloth car. I almost bought one when I was in the market but the car I have now came up and I got a great deal on it so I could not pass it up! Post over here from time to time! You have to get some engine bay pics up!

I remember when they came out. I was in the Air Force, stationed in Germany. I remember telling my wife (now my ex-wife), "Someday I'll get one of those." Then I forget about it for a decade and a half, but finally made good on it.

I'm shamed to say it but until about 3 years ago I never knew about the TTA's! :shock: Living in NE Philly one of the biggest working class areas in Philly no one around here could afford one and back in the late 80's if you had any type of real nice GM car or truck that thing was stolen unless in a vault! Thanks to GM and their crap steering colum that takes all of 10 secs to break and start. Once I had my GN and started looking into all the boards on line I ran across my first TTA and thought wow what a great idea and concept that was! Never thought I'd even own one but the power of the TTA took me over and next thing you know one is in my garage next to the GN! I try not to drive it to much to keep the miles down. But when I take it out it's fun to and from the car show i'm going to. I usually take the GN places because it's already got high miles. Plus I don't trust the drivers in Philly. If I got hit in the TTA I'd just cry! If I got hit in the GN I'd say woohoo new paint job! lol The TTA's are one hell of an awesome car!
