Hi all,
Well, Christmas is over, so what did you all get that was TTA or just Trans Am related?? I got a couple of belt buckles (one of a second gen Trans Am and one of a third gen Trans Am) and some Hot Wheels Trans Am's. Sorry, no 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am related stuff!
But, I did take out my 20th, and cruised the beach (Redondo Beach, Torrance Beach, and Hermosa Beach). Did I tell anyone that I live by the beach (about 5-10 minutes away. HeHe!)? What a beautiful day here in Southern California, about 75 degrees and sunny! We (my girlfriend and I) even saw some dolphins jumping in the water about 20 feet away from some surfers!
Anyone else have such a great Christmas??

Living it up in sunny California,

George

No go fast goodies for me, but might my
collectible nut father gave me a couple TTA
baseball cards. One is made by Car & Driver
the other is made by the Speedway, its called
"Ledends of Indy" the both are out of sets.
There pretty neat, instead of player stats it
has the cars perf. numbers and specs.

Got a B. Harbort print of the TTA. Looks really nice, I'll spend more to frame it than it costs, tho.. Weather AFU in Memphis. 25-35 degrees, Freezing rain slacked up today. Looks like a long cold winter.

Lee,

You're right on the print, I spent about $90 to frame it (the print costs $40). But I also have a huge Indy print that cost be about the same to frame but even less for the print.

For X-mas Santa brought me a G-tech. I'll have to wait for the couple of feet of snow to melt up here in Chicago. Maybe I'll test it in my daily driver before then. Shooting for 0-60 in < 10 secs.

Ron,
Yeah, I got the G=Tech a couple of years ago. seems very accurate, but ya gotta have a long straight to use it.I ran a red lite the first time out, didn't think about stopping distance!!DOH!!
How is your print framed?

Lee,
I usually have my prints done at a chain called Prints Plus. I looked at getting it matted which would make it larger than the original 16" x 20" size but I could not find a good color to highlight the print. I finally decided to leave it at the original size and picked out an aluminum triple step frame (think of three steps all the way around). The color is "Frosted Pewter" but it definitely looks more blue than gray. It really sets off the sky blue background well. The print itself is mounted (they use an adhesive to attach it to a back board) and I also added the non-glare plastic (they don't use glass). The frame was special order and all in all the price was around $90. Probably more than you wanted to know.
