Odd main bearing issue

I doubt it's what you want to hear but i would pull it, do a basic rebuild= no more guessing

Nothin' there that alot of us have not seen or done. Those guys at TB are right. That thing is or was detonating and that "fretting" is from crank flex.

looks like some crap made it's way through #4.

Pull the motor,have the crank looked at and fit it for some new bearings. Problem is that to do it right, you'll need to pull the pistons and that means....well, you know....
