Oil cooler C clip and gasket

So, was doing an oil change. And mindlessly unscrewing the filter I didn't realize the entire oil cooler was coming with it, somehow... I decided it was a good chance to just pull the whole thing off which I did. I see that there's a c clip on the inside which wasn't attached to anything although I assume it holds down the threaded pipe that holds it together, can anybody confirm my suspicion? Also I'd like to replace the gasket on the engine side of the unit, is this a generic part or is it something I will have to special order?

Interesting question.

I'll post these until more definitive answers come along. As a non-TTA owner, I don't have a lot of V6 info. The parts book view is for the '91-'92 KC4 (engine oil cooler). Doesn't seem to show a clip.

The actual photograph is of a KC4 cooler, and clearly shows a clip in place.

Dynodave, I see a clip on there. Answers my question exactly. Much appreciated.
