Oil Leak Under Oil Filter What Is That Part?

ok, engine stared leaking oil all of a sudden, plate size oil on my concrete. Leak appears to be coming out a part located directly under the oil filte. It's about 2 inches round and around 8 inches long and screws into the block. It has wires coming out if. The end and that is where the oil is leaking from.
What is that part called? Looks like it's easy to change?

I wish that all oil leaks were that simple. I often seem to fix one leak and then another pops up...

And that is why i don't use synthetic oil in a tta, not a cure all but its a good start...
