only one headlight coming up

I replaced the front emblem and had to take the metal piece the hood spring sits on in order to remove old emblem. Put new emblem on and put back together, now the left headlight does not go up. It has always worked until now, I checked and it is pluged in, the light comes on but it will not raise.

The light can be working because there are two separate wires/plugs. The motor will have its own weathpack connector. Make sure you did not release it and disconnect the lift motor. This wire comes through the core support and plugs into a short section of wire from the motor.

Yes we have 12 volt at plug and the motor does not make a noise when pluged in.

also headlight will not manually go up or down but the other headlight will. It must be a bad gear in the motor.

I had a problem like this with my 82 TA and it was a loose ground.
