just bought my tta 9-28-2003. I'm cleaning out the intercooler, read that on 89tta.com. car has 28,500 miles on it. Anyone know of performance shops in illinois to take car for possible mods? I live in Algonquin. There are so many different mods available. Where should i start? Previous owner removed cat, and had k/n filter in it.

Hi, I am from Niles Illinois. If you are somewhat mechanically inclined, then i could give you a hand. If you want to pay someone then i can send you to a guy i know. But i know he can be pretty pricey.

My Mods include...
K&N Filter/Oil Bypass Filter
Chip
Bigger Intercooler Arm
Bigger Injectors (Blue Tops)
Bigger Turbo w/ ADJ Wastegate
3" Terry Houston Downpipe with Dump
Second Fan Switch on interior
Boost Control Knob
External Fuel Pump
AirBags in the Rear Springs
Jet-Hot Coated the Exhaust side of Turbo and Headers
Everything under the hood is Polished, I did the valve covers, Turbo, Altornator, Throttle Body.

Might be some I missed but I have to think.

I performed all the Mods and have never had the car in a shop. Except for the Sub-Frame Connectors. Who was a friend.

I,m pretty good with cars, I had some different cars in the past that i played with. I plan on doing most of the mods myself, i hope anyway.I thought a shop or someone with experience with this car would be helpful.I have ordered a few minor things from johns performance. He recommended valve springs first. He also said to remove the hose from the drivers side valve cover going to the turbo inlet. What do you cover the hole in the valve cover with? Also hole in turbo inlet? Plan on getting chip, adj. wastegate, fuel pump?, T.H. down pipe. My car did not have stock exhaust tips, bummed about that.Any ideas for new exhaust with close to stock tips as possible?

thanks for your reply? I need help as you see. Maybe i can come and see yours one day?

Looks like IL is becoming the TTA state!
Stop by www.team3rdgen.com if you get a chance. We have a pretty big group of 3rdgen's in the St Louis area.

Good luck on your shop search. I've given up and decided to do everything myself.

On the Turbo Side you use a rubber grommet/Cap and on the Valve Cover you put a K/N Breather Filter.

You can come see my car whenever you would like to.
But my Car does not leave the Garage. Especially with the weather changing. Never saw a rain drop nor snow flake.

Let me know what you think.
