Question - battery

My TTA needs a new battery and I was wondering what recommendations some of you might have......I took the battery out when I stopped driving the car a number of years ago, and I don't remember what I was using - maybe an Optima Red, but can't recall. Thnx in advance !

I use Optima Yellow since it's not a daily driver - they last forever as long as you charge them periodically.

Thanks for both suggestions. Once I get it back in shape, I won't be using it as a daily driver.....I will also probably eventually get a battery tender, but I don't want to get too far ahead of myself.

I just replaced the ACDelco that was in my T/A. The battery was in the car when I bought it, 11 years ago, and was not new that day. It lived on a Battery Tender whenever the car was in the garage. I've had similar luck with Battery Tender maintained batteries in my Chrysler, Suburban, and trailers.

Much more credit to the Battery Tender than to the ACD battery (they used to be some of the best in the world, now just chinese parts of questionable quality.

Yeah, I hear you. Years ago, all we used were ACDelco batteries, and even then, in the Florida heat, they don't always last as long as we'd like. Personally, I try to avoid buying chinese parts if at all possible. I've run into situations on our other cars where the parts are not made correctly and don't fit, or the materials are so bad they either break or wear out very quickly......
