Remflex Header Gasket Users Come In

Pressurized
For those of you that use Remflex header gaskets, have you had failures? I've had two failures, and they were installed by the book to 20ft/lbs. What went wrong? Remflex is awesome at honoring their product, but I don't want to repeatedly be replacing gaskets...might go back to copper silicone if it blows again.

I used them exclusively on the TTA and never suffered a failure, they are however, fragile out of the wrapper and easily cracked if bent.

I like them so much that I used them in the LS build. Could your header flanges be really warped?

I have had similar issues on my GTA and Mustang, switched to Percy's Seal-4 Good and never had issues again.

Hmmm, I don't know then? The ONLY thing I did different was to give them an extra 3 ft lbs of torque. Cant see why that would matter though.

I actually called the Remflex folks. They were super nice. They also recommended increasing the torque to 25ft/lbs.
