Removing front hood emblem

what is the best way to remove hood emblem with the stud attached, I am replacing with new one, the old one is curled and faded.

the emblem is loose from the body but it is stuck by the stud at the bottom, is there a retainer or something holding it underneath, when I pull on it, it is stuck.

Yes theres a speed nut on the back ... you need to get under there and remove that speednut ... easiest is most likely to remove the big metal thing (not sure what to call it) where the hood latch sits ... big and white that the hood spring rests on when closed.

Iwas able to reach up thru the deflector that goes from the bottom of the bumper to the top of the rad support and use a nut driver to install a new emblem
