Replacing Cooling System Hoses

Does anyone have the part numbers for the upper and lower radiator hoses? Also, a source? Thanks, Bob

Don't think TTA specific hoses are available anywhere, but I have heard you might be able to use GN hoses with some trimming

Thanks. I looked around some more since posting. The upper hose might still be available, but not the lower. On a turboBuick forum in the TTA section somebody said to use a GN lower hose and trim it - as you mentioned. I will order one and give it a shot. My lower hose definitely needs to be replaced - it's worn in one spot and could let go... I have an old Gates part number for the upper: 22957. If I find out more, I will post about it.

Reporting back... I bought a new lower radiator hose for a 1987 Buick Grand National from O'Reilly Auto Parts. The part number on the receipt is GAT 21211 (Gates brand of course) and it only cost $16.99. Yes, it was not a direct fit, but after I cut 1" off of each end, it fit ok. I used a Kobalt PVC pipe cutter that I bought at Lowes which does a nice job.

I also ordered a different 1987 Buick Grand National lower radiator hose from Amazon which should arrive on Friday. If it looks like it will fit any better, I might still use it in the TTA. I also own a 1987 Buick Grand National, so no matter what, I can save it to use as a spare GN part.

As far as the upper TTA hose goes, I haven't looked very hard to find one. Don't really need it yet.

Thanks for the tip. Good to know that the car isn't "antique" enough that you can't get or modify parts. Having commonality with Grand Nationals has bailed us out again.

Received the Dayco 71756 Grand National lower radiator hose that I ordered from Amazon. Though I didn't try it, I think the Dayco is a closer fit (after trimming) for the TTA) than the Gates hose that I used. So I hope this information helps others.
