running lean....

Bump...

Jarred, please don't rely heavily on the AEM W/B. I would lean more on the knock gauge than anything. A friend of mine pushed water on his LS7 yesterday when his AEM went bonkers...computer pulled fuel and poof, it went.

Ok I corrected my problem

My power logger has two aem widebands to select from and the one I selected was at the top, the one I should have selected was not shown on the screen unless you scroll down, which I did not. I have now selected the correct wideband and car runs like a bat atta hell......

Thanks for all the replies they are all very much appreciated.

Maybe I misunderstand....but the powerlogger only displays data and that the chip is programmed to use whatever WB you tell Eric you're running.

So, changing the WB in the config page of the PL only tells the PL which WB you are using so it can display the proper scaling...no?

I don't know what happened but when I changed from "aem 5v" to "aem inline" the cars performance changed alot for the better. It for sure was not right before, and now it feels great. Too bad for me that it was a stupid thing like scrolling down the list to find a 2nd aem to select. the display of the wideband numbers on the scanmaster changed drastically after this also so you are probably right Rich.

For what ever the reason, I am happy now. I will not be free to drive the car for about 3 weeks as I am busy now..... Oh well.

Jarred.

I think what happened is "nothing happened". Meaning you were seeing lean A/F's and you may have pannicked thinking you were going to detonate when really you just fine and seeing incorrect data and taking precautionary measures.

Now your not seeing incorrect data and you're staying in it and it's coming into it's power.

The scanmaster is getting it's data from the PL now, so maybe it showed an incorrect scaling but the chip saw the correct scaling. This is based on the logs you showed us and that the narrowband O2 was fine.

See what I'm saying? I think an analogy would be you watch a TV program and change the sharpness setting on your TV, but it doesn't change the show....just how it's displayed.

Unless there's something I'm missing about how the 6.0 chip functions though.

Ya I think your right Rich I was just reviewing my logs in detail and that seems to be the trend. I see my wideband numbers nice and low and I for sure stay in it where as before I'd bail and lift off the gas as boost increased. I just don't wanna be changing head gaskets anytime soon, you know how that is....

Well I'll post up some track results in mid June that's when I get to go again.
