Stock TTA turbo

TTA855

White lightning drinker
My TTA does not have the stock turbo. I've heard it originally came with a Garrett T3, but apparently there are a lot of different Garrett T3 models. Does anyone know the specific Garrett model number of the stock turbo?

I got the stock turbo when I bought my car given to me in a box. I can go out tomorrow and check and see if there are any numbers on it.

Thanks, but what I want to do is compare the specs of the stock turbo with the turbo I have, to know what the difference is.

The only numbers on the turbo are A/R 60 and M10, and of course it has Garrett stamped on it also.

The TTA and GN stock turbos have a difference, one has the Garrett letters raised and the other has them stamped in the housing. If you want to be original make sure. I can't remember which is which exactly, but I think the TTA is raised. If someone needs to know I have a one of each boxed up I can pull out and look.

scott kelly is a nice guy but a new billet turbo inj an chip will make a world of diffrence .... i just cant see where he said his chip was better than a turbo tweak chip ?????

If anyone will part with a stock turbo in good condition please let me know. If one not used even better. Let me know how much. Faced with rebuilding mine which would probably cost more right? i have no idea about prices please let me know. Thanks

i think i was quoted $ 450 for a stock rebuild, plus shipping

Here is a couple pics showing the Stock turbo compared to a TA49 with a Garrett housing, installed on car.

The stock turbo has the raised Garrett on it and the TA49 with the other garrett housing does not. TA49 was built by limit engineering but probably used a housing off another turbobuick motor besides a TTA.

From what we determined at the TTA Reunion was that both types of housings were used on the stock TTA both the raised and indented "GARRETT".
