T-top bag, bored on labor day weekend

RatFink

TORQUE
Ok, I know you die hard originality guys will crap, but I've owned my TTA since new and I plan on owning it until I'm 6 ft. under, so what I do to my ride isn't related to keeping it totally original or based on it's eventual worth. Don't misunderstand, I'm not going to tub it out or drop a super bad v8 in it, but as you can tell by my sig I'm a rat fink fan. Oh yeah, and I was bored today. This is what happened.

A Rat Fink fan, or a Ed Roth fan?
I grew up with Ed's kids, and use to hang out at his shop in Maywood, California during my early years, at least, till I was 16.
It's funny, when you hang out with people, they are just people to you.
You don't get autographs or anything.
I do have some Rat Fink plastic keychains and such, buy not anything else.
Never got an autograph from him, or people like Pete McCarthy, any of the Lakers, during their back to back (when I was dating Jerry Buss's neice), or alot of others.
But, I did get this one.

That's an awesome story George! I guess I'm a fan of Ed Roth. I like all of that old school hot rod culture...I like the all of the music and art of that generation. I went to a really cool car show a few months ago in Nashville. it was the Good Guys car show. It got me to thinking that I may as well join in, my car isn't like those, but a few things wouldn't hurt i thought. I probably will avoid getting any crazy pin striping, but If I had an old rod I definatley would. Maybe an old rod with a turbo buick would be cool. Crossing the old with new technology...well 70 yr old tech with 20 yr old tech.

Just for you Ed Roth, or Rat Fink fans, here's a pencil drawing I did back in high school. It's dated 1987 when I was just a wee lad of 14. As you can tell it's done on just regular lined paper and no, I didn't trace it but I did look at picture from a magazine when I drew it. Yes, I was a Rat Fink fan back in the day! Enjoy.

That's cool, was there a airbrushed Rat Fink on A1A in Daytona Beach in front of an airbrushed t-shirt shop back in the 80's??? I needd to go to the Turkey Rod run this November. I used to go to that when I was a kid.

Uhhm...at the risk of getting banned...is that a photoshop, or is it just me?

Ban him anyways!! lol We don't ban people here unless you are a spam bot! That George has been around longer then everyone added up together on this board. I'm pretty sure he was hatched from an egg so I would think that picture is legit! :tvhappy:  :wheelchair:

Yes,
It's legit!
I even got a copy of the script autographed by Christina and Amanda.
Here's another fav of mine:

And don't worry 81DaytonaPaceCar, I won't ban you.
I wasn't hatched, but I wasn't planned either, that's for sure! ;)
And there have been some people around just as long as me on this board.
I have known Dave Gershon for quite a few years, even thought he is in Northern California.
Back in (I believe) the 80s, we met when his Trans Am Club had a gatherning (Trans-A-Rama) and my club drove up there to have fun and compete in the autocross with them. We use to do them every year, till the early 90s.
Those were fun days back then.
Thanks to the internet, I get to meet all you young whippersnappers. ;)
Heck, some of you guys were probably born just because of Smokey And The Bandit.;)
HeHe, just kidding.
I know you all were planned.
NOT! :)
