Just looking for everyones thoughts ideas experiences etc. Im in the market for an enclosed trailer. I was planning on purchasing a 24' 10k gvwr haulmark trailer, nothing special just plywood interior a base model for a little under $7,000.00. However I recently came across a used 48ft gooseneck racing trailer. For under 9k. Way more trailer and options than what I was shopping for it has 3 - 7000 lb axels aluminum cabinets, 2- winches, one in front and one on back door. It also has an a/c unit, furnace, diamond plate floors and half walls. As well as an air compressor, 40 gal water tank, and 30 gal hot water heater. The rear laoding door is polished Aluminum with LED lighting and also has an awaning attached however the canvass material on awning needs to be replace. More than what i need but at that price it looks like a bargain. Its about 1.5 hours away from me an I may go check it out this week.

What are you guys throughts on enclosed trailers? Especially what is mentioned above. The cheaper price the better for me.
 
I have a 26' enclosed. I pulled with 3/4 ton gmc with 6.6 diesel. The trailer has a few cabinets and ramps. Total weight loaded with TTA is 8500. Pulls and stops great. I have pulled this set up with a 1/2 ton gas and yes it pulled it but it was not a pleasurable trip. There are alot of 1/2 ton owners that will say oh my truck is rated at 9500 of 10k. Yeah that's true now hook up to that and get on the interstate and then let us know how great it is. With your truck having a gas motor I would stay away from the gooseneck. Too much trailer for your truck. In addition to workload on ur motor it's bigger and will cause u issues at resturant gas and hotel parking lots. That 24' in itself loaded will be plenty of work for your gas motor. Get a good hitch set up with torsion/sway bars and you will be happy. Look those trailers over good. Some of these manufacturers hack this shit togeather. I know from experience. Lol.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same thing, in regards to the trailer being to much for my truck. To be honest, I never owned a trailer before so this would be my first purchase.
