Trans Am Festival car plate.

Hey guy's, I just wanted to let you know that a friend of mine made me a replica of the festival car plate and it looks really good, so he wanted for to see if anyone maybe be interested in one for their cars. I will be posting a picture so you can see them. Also he can put your build number of your Turbo trans am and he can also put a small phrase under your build number if you wish to add it. They look really good it was gift and when it was given to me I told him about this web page. So if anyone is interested please let me know. The cost is $30.00 per plate and $2.00 shipping charges, but he informed me that if more people order them then it would be at least a couple dollars less because he will not waste any material. They look like a flat pice of white plastic rather than the metal painted with a reflective material like the originals.

Sorry guy's been out of town. The Plates are metal. The letters are reflective material like Jan said. They look great. I place my plate in the dash. I don't want to put anything in front of the nose. Well be good guys!
 
I got mine and I'll admit this is one cool item to have. i always display it on the front of my car near the hood latch and people realise it's a pace car when they see it. These are the folks that made them http://www.licenseplates.tv/ You might have to Call Toll-Free 1-800-491-2068 and ask about the 89 Indy plate. Pretty sure they were just making them as they go. They also did the hall of fame plate.

I lucked out getting a real one, with my matching number, #231!
Cost me a ton of money back then, but the real one go even higher than what I paid, so either way, I am happy!
I really have no need to get one of these.
Of coarse, you may never find the right one for your car if you have a higher than say, 250 or so.
And yes, I display mine at shows too. :wink:

I got mine guys. I will get the Hall of Fame soon. This plates are made of good quality and are solid....love it!

Hey Jim, I wouldn't put it out on display like that, in your picture.
You can never tell, but someone may just walk right up to it, and take it.
Sometimes, I display mine attached to the regular license plate part of the rear bumper, sometimes just sitting in the locked dash area, up against the windshield.
I do display my Indy flags like you do, too.

George I keep that old fat guy behind my car at all times when at shows. He keeps a full round in his .45 for those Indy plate snatchers! :shock: :lol: Actually I'm always at a show with him. He's got a 64 Ford Galaxie with 40K original on it. His father bought the car new in 64. So he NEVER leaves that car alone at a show or cruise. I provide him with a chair and he's the security guard for the shows :) Everytime I leave and come back he tells me how someone said it's a shame I took the 5.7 out and put that six cyl in! :x He tells them the car was too fast for me so I put a 6 in it. Then they think. wow what a looser he even had turbo badges made for the sides! :lol:

Its easy and I got it in 6 days...here is the info from the sticky

Here?s how to order:


-Call Toll-Free 1-800-491-2068. In South Florida please call 954-485-0995. Their friendly operators will assist you with the order process between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

-Tell them you would like to order a "Pace Car Plate" or an "Indy Hall of Fame Plate", or both.

-Then be sure to tell them what Number you want put on the plate(s).

-They will then take your shipping and payment information.
Shipping is Free in the United States.
