Morning All
I ran the TTA this past Saturday, it was really nice out, for about 20 miles (OMG) or so and the trans seemed to act up after it warmed up. Trans service was completed <than 500 miles ago. Fluid full when warm, nice pink, no burnt smell/looks. This is what it does.
After 30 minutes of Overdrive (OD) driving at highway speeds or speeds around 50 mph, the transmission appears to downshift late, causing near engine stall with very low RPM when coming to a stop; then with acceleration from a stop, the transmission appears to up-shift early, again causing very low RPM at the shifts and loss of torque. Just seems kinda shifty. I seen a write up on Turbobuicks and it was pretty much word for word on what I'm describing.
To me, it sounds like TCC Lockup Solenoid and possibly 4th gear pressure switch.
It works fine when cold, just starts doing this shifty stuff right around the time its completely warmed up and time to go home.
Any idears?
Thanks
