Tta In Nc Area

Hey guys....new member here and a proud owner of TTA #258. I just purchased the car from the original owner with only 5,800 miles on the clock. I'm in the Charlotte area, Waxhaw just south of Charlotte. Don't see many of these anymore.
 
TTA1202 is in the big city of Wingate, NC. We have 2 stop lights. 35 miles SE of Charlotte, NC. How's the weather in Waxhaw?. Bruce
 
Bought it from a gentleman in McKenzie Tennessee. His dad bought two back in 1989, one was a driver and this one was his show car, always covered in a garage. Dad passed away and his son ended up selling both. The other had 73k miles.
Wingate is just around the corner from me. Anybody ever go to Cars and Coffee in Charlotte.

No, never been to Cars and Coffee. I got friends and fellow club members (Carolina Classic Pontiac Club) that have been. They tell me you can see anything from a Volkswagon up but I'm mainly hook on Pontiacs. If you would like to get in on it, club meeting Jan. 9, 10:30 at Streetside Classics in Charlotte. You would be more than welcome. It would be nice to have another TTA member in the club

Hey Dave, 20 years ago we were a chapter of the GTOAA but as time went on we had more Trans Ams than GTOs. It's hard to get a TA owner to join the GTOAA so that went away but I'm still a long term member of the POCI and the GTOAA as I have 2 GTOs, 2 TAs and a Formula and a Fiero for daily ride.

Small world. Earl and Mike are 1st and 2nd cousins. I tried to get Earl to swap cars with me. That didn't turn out to good. That car has less than 300 miles on it with all the paperwork. Mike on the other hand is real big in GN. I think he owns 3 or 4 and enough parts to build 3 or 4. Don't know what all interchanges with TTAs but Mike knows so anybody needs anything there it is.
 
I recently moved across town from Matthews, NC to Denver, NC. Mine has been to Cars and Coffee many times and it is a great event. Be sure to check their website since they have lost their home due to construction and are looking for a new location. Other TTA's in the area that I know of.... The former manager at Streetside had one, an automotive instructor at Central Piedmont Community College had one, and a collector in south Charlotte that has a bunch of Corvettes has one. Would be interested in getting together if anyone is interested.
