Don't know. Never used one.
If the pump is big enough, which an external pump doesn't have the same critical fit issue as an in tank replacement, and can supply the fuel reg, line enough pressure and volume why hot wire it?
DO NOT DO AN EXTERNAL!!! My car had one and it was a pita to remove. Trust me..do it right the first time. I went with the Walbro 340 and hotwire kit from Racetronix.
The XP pump is a walbro 340 but the hotwire is tta specific.
Hey TurboJoe, I thought you were not going to mod your car for a while? You got bitten by the bug too!!!
But if you are never going to take your car to the track why do you want high 12's? How will you know if you are their anyway? Mid 13's are respectable!!! Don't get caught up in number's if aren't going to the track IMOP. Also you have an awesome car!!! You are only asking for more problems and headaches if you keep modding it. Also, it seems like you are already experiancing transmission problems. I had the same problem in my 1993 T/A before it went (41k). Enjoy the car and get a beater you can mod and learn from instead of having someone else modifying your classic just to say you have a 12 second car. At the track 12 second car are everywhere but none of them have a TTA like you!!!:beach: You are very fortunate.
Doesnt take much to get a stock TTA in the 12's. 1st and only time at the track i got tta 1397 to go a 8.43 with a 2.2 somethin 60ft in the 1/8 it wouldnt even spin the tires to clean them off lmao.
