What PCV valve fits?

I've been looking at various Internet posts to locate a PCV that functions on the V6 TTA. Apparently the GM unit AC Delco CV924C is no longer available. One post says a Auto Zone 1162. Auto Zone says a 1126 works. Another post says the 1162 is now a 1138. On top of all that I must blow test whichever one it is to insure it doesn't leak. So, what is the real answer on what available PCV valve to use? And, do I need to blow test it for leakincg.

A friend of mine who was a gear head and also a Pontiac dealer once told me that if you shake the PCV and you can hear it rattle, then it's fine. He said you really don't need to buy new ones unless there's no rattle when you shake them.....just do like 'pacecarta' suggested when needed, and don't skimp on the carb cleaner....make sure it's all dried out before you put it back on.
