For those of us who believe in States' rights (which is everybody that understands we are a federation of 50 states and not one big country) Robert E. Lee was a great man.
 
I am beginning to understand how Rome fell, the left wants free speech unless you disagree with them and then they go to protest with bats and pepper spray to create controversy where there is none, somebody wants a civil war and they may f**k around and get one...
 
I don't think a civil war on par with the first one will happen, who would fight it? Not the current military or National Guard, but much more unnecessary uprising over non-issues will persist.
IMO, the media is stoking this sh!t. Giving people such as Al (jogging suit) Sharpton any further platform than he has already been given is unfortunate. History is what it is, I don't think any more public tributes are necessary - like statues or parks, but what currently exists need to stay, and the morons that want to tear them down need to (somehow) be correctly educated as to what they mean. To beat a dead horse a little more, those who forget history are condemned to repeat it.
 
Ratfink - consider this. What about a local uprising that local police are unable to handle. What then? The National Guard? Local police are, at this point, not doing much to stop the little snowflakes from ripping down statues and defacing property. Not to mention, watching violence on both sides and doing nothing as what happened in Charlotteville. They are emboldened and will not stop.
 
8289ta, I guess if your talking full blown civil war, what would be the dividing lines?...not state lines this time. Would there be a draft? Civil unrest, yes then I agree, the sh!t will continue.
Though, how determined are these snowflakes? I can't see them actually committing to anything really or at least on the level of losing their lives. Dunno, maybe if you are talking full blown anarchy like zombie apocolypse level sh!t, well I don't think there are that many of these "statue busters" I'm skeptical as to how many people actually have the time to commit to full blown civil war. Civil unrest, oh yeah, plenty more of that to go. I think the cops need be allowed to do their jobs and firehose these troublemakers.
 
Ya'll both have vaild points , Ratfink you need to understand that these people are professional paid shit-stirrers, they heat up the pot and disappear and set back and eat popcorn laughing like hell... two words .. social media and a slanted news media = non-stop BS.. we now have a real life horse that is a racist because of his name... unreal... but i think there is a good chance that the idiots will sh*t and fall back in it.... just a matter of time.
 
Very sad how the country has been going lately. This quote always comes to mind for me made famous by Rodney King, "Why can't we all just get along?"
